Christmas & New Year

Christmas and New Year has always been an extra special time at Langdale Chase. Edna Howarth, who built the house in 1891, held legendary gatherings for her staff and friends. It was the highlight of the year; a chance for the great and good of Windermere to make merry and enjoy the finest food and drink in the most beautiful surroundings – she set us a high bar.

This year we are hoping for a dusting of snow on the distant hills so we can welcome in the New Year in true Langdale Chase style. Our team are ready for you, filled with festive cheer to make this festive season unforgettable.

Christmas Beautifully Packaged at Langdale Chase

In Victorian times, Mrs Edna Howarth built Langdale Chase. For many, the highlight of the year was the spectacular Christmas Gathering. A century later, the tradition is reinstated in equally unforgettable fashion as we celebrate in style over three nights.
