Indulge in the Timeless Tradition of Afternoon Tea at Langdale Chase
In the peaceful splendour of the Dining Room or on the terraces, this most celebrated of British traditions is a highlight of any stay. Just like Edna Howarth, the chatelaine of Langdale Chase in the 1890’s, this is a daily ritual – traditional savouries, scones and delicious fancies are freshly made by our pastry chefs every morning. The finest Cumbrian clotted cream and Scottish strawberry jams provide the ultimate treat, particularly when a glass of champagne is on hand too!
Our latest afternoon tea brings a vibrant sense of fun to the hotel as the Lake District begins to awaken from it’s winter slumber. The eye catching fancies are a modern take on some classic and nostalgic flavours.
Afternoon tea is served in the Dining Room and weather permitting, on the terraces and in the gardens.
Created by our talented and passionate pastry team, led by Camilia Leão Ramaciotti
